Analysis of the Implementation of Evaluation and Supervision of Guidance and Counseling Services at Junior High School “X” in Ogan Ilir Regency

This study aims to analyze the implementation of evaluation and supervision of guidance and counseling services at Juniar High School “X” in Ogan Ilir Regency. The study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of BK teachers and school principals who were selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the evaluation of guidance and counseling services at the school was carried out through direct observation without the use of written instruments and systematic documentation. The supervision of guidance and counseling services focused more on administrative aspects and did not touch on the substance of the services. The obstacles encountered include budget constraints, the number of guidance counselors that is not proportional to the number of students, and the high workload of guidance counselors. Based on these findings, school policy support, budget provision, and strengthening the role of principals and guidance counselors are needed so that the evaluation and supervision of guidance and counseling services can run more optimally.
